About

Hi there,

Thank you for giving my blog a looksie, I really appreciate you giving your time to read my writing!

My name is Hannah Jamieson. When I first started this blog I had a pen name which was Alexandra Neon, this is still my twitter name but I thought I’d be brave and take the credit for my work on here.

In this blog you will find a random mesh of Cream Tea reviews and short stories with a few attempts of poetry thrown in. I have work published on Amazon in a short story anthology called ‘Hide It!’ which was published by Mardibooks and am currently trying to fulfill my new years resolution of completing a short story collection… so far 2015 hasn’t been as productive as I hoped.

I’m from the UK, I LOVE tigers and alphabet letter sweets, I j’adore visiting National Trust properties and have an unhealthy obsession with Sailor Moon. I’m a Feminist and I wear that title with pride.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you like what you read, or not for that matter, I accept constructive criticism.

Anyway, ta for dropping by and I hope you like what you see!

  1. I just came across your blog and I love the image you posted today. Trying to guess where in the UK this picture was taken? Looks to me like somewhere in southern England? All best wishes, Michele

    • Yes! Very close! In the south west actually – would you like me to tell you exactly where or would you like to guess again?! 🙂 Glad you liked the picture – I thought it very fitting!
      Thanks for reading,
      Alexandra

  2. Hi Hannah. We know each other from RW. Nice to see you’ve decided to drop the pen-name. I used an alter ego when I was writing poetry (2007-2012), but somewhere along the line when I felt that my prose was taking over, ‘Tomfoollery’ had to go. Enough on that I think.
Congratulations on passing your driving test – it’s still a big step, whatever age you are.
I agree with your ‘pat on the back’ idea, which is really what my own most recent blog post was about – yesterday. We owe it to ourselves to remember our own self-worth, so well done you!
As an ex long-distance runner I was pleased to see you’ve taken to the road, and as you get comfortable with a regular run, you’ll find it does a lot for you, physically and mentally.
In order to keep up with a handful of blogs I’m following; my new plan is to visit all of them once a week – so I’m pleased to see you’ve finally pulled your pen out …
See you in print my friend.

    • Nice to see you again Tom you’re very kind! 🙂

Yes exactly, I felt like it wasn’t really mine and I wanted my readers to get to know the real me rather than this alter ego which seemed so much popular than me! haha Glad you see you had a similar dilemma and came to the same decision, I certainly like the fact that I know the real you rather than ‘Tomfoollery’! 🙂

Thank you for your support, definitely think if people were more positive about themselves we would have a much happier world! I am already feeling the effects of my running, I always enjoy seeing myself go further and faster each time! You don’t run anymore? Did you do any marathons?

That is a good plan! I am going to try to do the same, I am always travelling up and down the country to visit my BF and so much time seems to go by before I am able to come on here and check out other’s work and write my own! 😦

Thanks again for deeming my work worthy to keep returning too, I shall try and get more work up soon!
